Scope:

The Standard will define a suite of metrics that can be used by industry, regulators and governments to inform stakeholders on the state of pipeline safety and environmental performance. The Standard will also include a common reporting format that can be adopted by all reporting entities.

 The metrics will be applicable to gathering/feeder, transmission and distribution pipelines, both in liquid and natural gas services. Clear definition of important terms such as pipeline, incident, significant incident, etc. will be included in the Standard.
