This first edition standard will be developed to assist in building the capacity of employers in the Paramedic community to promote the psychological health and safety of Paramedics in the workplace; increase awareness to help reduce the associated stigma and harassment; identify psychological hazards and possible control measures; and help to prevent psychological harm due to workplace factors.  The Standard will be based on CAN/CSA-Z1003-13/BNQ 9700-803/2013 - Psychological health and safety in the workplace - Prevention, promotion, and guidance to staged implementation, and will provide a framework to promote the psychological health and safety of, and prevent the psychological harm to, Paramedics by providing sector-specific guidance that will help organizations, educators, employees, and supervisors
