Paramedic ground response vehicles and equipment
Scope:
Guidelines to:
-
support manufacturers in designing emergency response vehicles and/or equipment in accordance with evidence-based practices;
-
support the procurement of appropriately designed emergency response vehicles and/or equipment in accordance with evidence-based practices;
-
direct paramedics in the safe and responsible usage of emergency response vehicles and/or equipment;
-
protect the health, safety and wellbeing of paramedic personnel (i.e., preventing musculoskeletal disorders (MSD), preventing the spread of communicable diseases); and,
-
protect public safety by improving patient safety and improving the capacity of emergency responders.
