This is a process-based, risk-based standard specific to Stormwater Systems. It provides a consistent process or processes for decision makers responsible for the design, construction, operation, maintenance and management of stormwater systems.  This Standard covers develop requirements & recommendations for a consistent framework for stormwater planning and management and to reduce environmental, legal, and economic risks, while demonstrating flexibility to accommodate differences in local conditions, municipality size, staff expertise, and resources.  This include types of infrastructure including new and existing, built and green/natural infrastructure, publicly owned and managed systems.  Industrial, commercial and institutional and other privately managed infrastructure (lot-level) may be included to the extent that they impact the stormwater system.  The primary source of water will be stormwater

Project Need
The primary objective of the Standard is to provide decision makers of municipal stormwater systems with a consistent framework to help them to proactively and efficiently manage the system in light of current and future impacts of climate change.
