This Standard addresses an organization’s need to be able to select and provide appropriate training to safely work at heights.

This Standard specifies requirements for and provides guidance on fall protection training in the workplace.

The goal of fall protection training is to assist workers and other parties to develop and gain the knowledge and skills to perform their work in a manner that reduces risk of harm relating to working at heights.

Project Need
There is a gap identified for a consistent fall protection training programs available in Canada. The proposed standard will cover all of the elements needed for a fall protection training program, ensure organizations have the tool to best support their workforce.
