This section of Part 2 of IEC Publication 598 specifies requirements for portable pedestal luminaires, for use in places such as gardens and for portable luminaires for use in places such as flower beds, for use with tungsten filament, tubular fluorescent and other discharge lamps on supply voltages not exceeding 120 V. It is to be read in conjunction with those sections of Part 1 to which reference is made. Note: In Canada, CSA TIL B-58A, Landscape Lighting Systems, specifies t he requirements for permanently connected landscape lighting systems employing extra-low-voltage incandescent lamps for outdoor use.
