Scope:

This document specifies the Internet of Things system for ecological environment monitoring in terms of the following:

– system infrastructure and system entities of the IoT system for ecological environment monitoring for natural entities such as air, water, soil, living organisms; and
– the general requirements of the IoT system for ecological environment monitoring.

Project need:

To align Canadian requirements with those of international standards in the Information Technology subject area and to maintain alignment with international requirements. This proposed New Standard is being developed at the request of P123 Technical Committee on Information Technology (TCIT). It will provide the industry with the latest requirements in the field of ICT, including AI and smart cities.
