This document provides specifications for the normative representation of the following types of genomic information:

 

— unaligned sequencing reads including read identifiers and quality values;

— aligned sequencing reads including read identifiers and quality values;

— reference sequences

Project need:

Project Need
To align Canadian requirements with those of the respective international standards being proposed for adoption. To maintain alignment between Canadian information and communication technology standards and each respective international standard.
