Scope:

This document provides a user-centric framework for handling personally identifiable information (PII), based on privacy preferences.

Project need:

To align Canadian requirements with those of international standards in the Information Technology subject area and to maintain alignment with international requirements. This proposed New Standard is being developed at the request of P123 Technical Committee on Information Technology (TCIT). It will provide the industry with the latest requirements in the field of ICT, including AI and smart cities.
