Project Need
This Standard specifies requirements for the packaging, collection, storage, handling, treatment, and disposal of waste materials within health care facilities, veterinary health care facilities, and dental facilities. This Standard also includes guidance for health care waste materials generated in community and public settings, and waste generated from personal care spaces. This Standard will also promote good recycling practices and environmental sustainability so that health care waste can be minimized from going to landfills
