General requirements for double-insulated equipment
Scope:
1.1
This Standard is intended to provide basic requirements for the evaluation of double-insulated cord-connected electrical equipment.
1.2
This Standard applies to equipment for use on circuits not exceeding 250 V-to-ground and designed to be used in accordance with the Rules of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I.
1.3
This Standard supplements individual standards of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part II.
Part 1.4
Individual product standards may specify, as necessary, other double-insulated construction and test requirements because of the particular nature and application of their product
