Scope:

This Standard applies to newly produced Type 1 clothes dryers (see Clause 3, Definitions), hereinafter referred to as dryers, constructed entirely of new, unused parts and materials:

  1. use with natural gas;
  2. use with manufactured gas;
  3. use with mixed gas;
  4. use with propane gas;
  5. use with LP gas-air mixtures; and
  6. mobile home installation

This Standard also covers all electrical equipment, wiring, and accessories built in or supplied for use with the dryer.
