Scope

1.1 This Standard specifies the methods for determining seasonal energy utilization efficiency (SEUE) and annual fuel utilization efficiency (AFUE) for (a)oil-fired furnaces having an input of up to and including 66 kW (225 000 Btu/h); and (b)boilers having an input of up to and including 88 kW (300 000 Btu/h). The tests contained in this Standard are not intended to represent actual efficiencies realized in the field. These tests provide a standardized method of comparing relative unit performance.

1.2 This Standard establishes minimum efficiency levels for oil-fired furnaces and boilers.

1.3 This Standard applies to the oil-fired portion of a combination or multifuel burning appliance.

Note: The information provided above was obtained by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) and is provided as part of a centralized, transparent notification system for new standards development. The system allows SCC-accredited Standards Development Organizations (SDOs), and members of the public, to be informed of new work in Canadian standards development, and allows SCC-accredited SDOs to identify and resolve potential duplication of standards and effort.

Individual SDOs are responsible for the content and accuracy of the information presented here. The text is presented in the language in which it was provided to SCC.
