Scope

1.            Revise Test Method and MEPS for types A and B.

2.            Re-aligning types and scopes for refrigerated types to match NRCan and DOE. The aggregate scope of the types in C804 would not be reduced.

3.            Include high efficiency MEPS.

4.            Fully harmonized with DOE (for types A and B); follow the accelerated  “Path 1”

Project Need
C804 references ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 32-2008 for testing procedures. ASHRAE updated its test procedure, first in 2010, and the last revision will be published very soon. Energy Star revised their requirements in December 2013. ASHRAE, DOE and NRCAN have also introduced new categories of vending machines (Combination A and Combination B vending machines). To remain harmonized, C804 needs to be updated to support the Regulator Co-operative Council (RCC) initiative
