This standard provides a methodology for traceability of forest bio-based packaging materials for the supply 
chain and end-of-life management. The following topic areas are expected to be included: 
 Composting and biodegradability of bio-based forest biomaterials 
 Recycling cross-contamination management 
 Labelling and Ecolabel 
 Food-contact guidelines and requirements for bio-based packaging 

Project need:

Project Need
To support innovation in the field of forest bioeconomy by providing a methodology for traceability of forest bio-based packaging materials for the supply chain and end-of-life management. This proposed New Standard is being developed at the request of The participants of the CSA workshop on forest bioeconomy. It will provide the industry with common methodology to support the traceability and end-of-life management for forest bio-based packaging materials
