1.1 This Standard sets forth the characteristics of an instrument conforming to the requirements of ANSI Standards C63.2, Ra dio-Noise and Field-Strength Meters 0.015 to 30 Megacycles/Second, and C63.3, Radio-Noise and Field-Strength Meters 20 to 1,000 Megacycles/Second, for the measurement of electromagnetic interference, both conducted and radiated, in the frequency range 0.15 MHz to 1000 MHz. The frequency range, method of use, tolerable limits, and required antennas or other coupling devices are set forth in the applicable CSA Standard.

Note: Although the instrument is becoming obsolete, the Standard is still required because this instrument is called for in other CSA Standards of the C108.1 Series.
