Scope:

This part of IEC 62933 focuses on unit parameters and testing methods of EES systems. The energy storage devices and technologies are outside the scope of this document. This document deals with EES system performance defining:   

– unit parameters, 
– testing methods. 

Project need:

To align Canadian requirements with those of international standards in the Electrical Energy Storage (EES) subject area (adoption of new standard).  This proposed  New Standard is being developed at the request of stakeholders. It will provide the industry in defining unit parameters and testing methods with EES systems performance.
