Scope:

This clause of Part 1 is applicable, except as follows.

 

Addition:

 

This document applies to grass shears with a maximum cutting width of 200 mm designed primarily for cutting grass.

 

This document does not apply to hedge trimmers.

 

NOTE 101 Hedge trimmers are covered by IEC 62841-4-2.

Project need:

This amendment is to update requirements, at the request of industry.  This proposed  New Edition is being developed at the request of industry members. It will provide the industry with updated requirements.
