Electric Floor Surfacing and Cleaning Machines
Scope:
1.1
This Standard applies to cord-connected, motor-operated floor surfacing and cleaning machines rated at 600 volts or less which are designed to be used in accordance with the Rules of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I, on an ac or dc circuit.
1.2
This Standard applies to commercial and industrial floor polishing machines, floor scrubbing machines, sanders, grinders or other types of surfacing machines of the hand-propelled or self-propelled type. It also applies to rug scrubbers and shampooing machines and machines combining any of these features for household, commercial or industrial use.
1.3
This Standard does not apply to household floor polishers which are covered by CSA Standard C22.2 No. 67, Vacuum Cleaners and Floor Polishers, or to hand-held polishers, sanders, and floor edgers which are covered by CSA Standard C22.2 No. 71, Portable Electric Tools.
