Drinking water treatment systems
Scope:
This Standard covers drinking water treatment systems that are
- Point-of-use or point-of-entry plumbed systems; and
- Point-of-use non-plumbed systems.
The Standard includes electrical requirements for drinking water treatment systems that are intended
- To be permanently connected, cord or plug connected, or connected through a Class 2 plug-in power supply to an electrical supply circuit of 250 V or less (i.e., 150 V maximum to ground); and
- For use indoors in non-hazardous locations in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I.
