Digital Circuit Breaker
Scope:

1.1
This standard applies to semi conductor based molded-case circuit breakers and hybrid molded-case circuit breakers that are designed with or without an integral airgap for isolation. These circuit breakers are rated up to 1000 Vac and 1500 Vdc, and are designed to be installed and used in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I.

This standard also applies to semi conductor based molded-case switches and hybrid molded case switches rated up to 1000 Vac and 1500 Vdc.
1.3
This equipment is intended for installation in an overall enclosure or as parts of other devices such as panelboards.
1.4
These devices can be interconnected and can have the ability to be controlled/ updated remotely, as such, this standard contains functional safety and cyber security requirements addressing these issues and may be used to supplement but does not replace requirements that already exist in a published CSA component standard.
1.5
This standard is intended to be used in conjunction with CSA C22.2 No. 5, except as modified or supplemented by this Standard.
