Scope:

New standard to address the technical requirements of multi-storey, low- to high-rise buildings of volumetric 
modular construction, including but not limited to provisions for:  
• structural design 
• mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and systems design; 
• construction, transportation, storage and installation; 
 • maintenance, repair and rehabilitation

Project need:

To support innovation in the field of buildings of volumetric modular construction by providing requirements for their design, construction, installation, use and certification in the Canadian context.
