Data sharing for Canadian automated hydrometeorological monitoring stations
Scope:
This Standard provides requirements and recommendations for the sharing of weather data, including the use
of equipment and software for doing so.
The Standard includes consideration, and any requirements or recommendations thereof, of the following
elements:
• The maturity of related networks;
• Current and former data sharing agreements;
• Current reporting formats;
• Geo and time referencing;
• Data validation;
• Data transparency;
• Data transfer and interchangeability;
• Flagging of data, including estimated, aggregated, and unchecked data; and
• Intellectual property of shared data
