Data Quality of Canadian Hydrometeorological monitoring stations
Scope:
This Standard provides requirements and recommendations concerning the quality of weather data, and consists of two parts: 1) a data quality rating system, and 2) guidance on how to use and apply the rating system.
The objectives of this Standard are to:
- Provide simple and easy to apply data quality rating system
- Incorporate any issues at a site or in data processing that “touch” or contribute to the reporting parameter
- Align with existing MSC/WMO standards. If different, to document rationale why
- Provide user guide to apply the rating system
