The new standard specifies requirements related to the performance, design, testing, labeling and provision of instructions for manufactured free-standing guardrails that rely on mass and friction, and are intended to protect workers from a fall hazard.  These guardrails are not fixed to a structure.

Project need:

Project Need
Currently there are no existing standard requirements related to the design and testing of free-standing guardrails. Therefore, this standard will fill that gap.
