Scope

The purpose of this specification is to define a uniform approach to maintain the certification of products that have, or will undergo modification from the articles originally certified. It should not be used as a guideline to certify new product submittals. Changes in design, materials, components and manufacturing process can impact the performance of the modified CPV module or assembly. The recommended test sequences given in this specification have been selected to identify adverse changes to modified cell packages with CPV modules or assemblies. Those CPV modules or assemblies meeting the requirements of IEC 62108 after retesting are considered to be complaint and will be issues as an amended CB Conformity Assessment Certificate and an Amended Technical Report Form.
