Scope

The scope of this standard will include guidance on the planning, development and evaluation of Community Paramedicine Programs in Canada. The standard will help to align community paramedicine programs with clinical pathways. The proposed standard will outline a framework and best practice model for community paramedicine programs to facilitate program development tailored for specific local needs and contexts. The standard will address issues such as: priority setting, performance indicators, desired outcomes, safety issues, skills and training, integration, etc.
