Scope

This Standard is intended for use by health care facility owners and managers, engineers, consultants, and trades people and contract workers to ensure the efficient and responsible operation and maintenance of building system components, systems, and equipment that are essential for the safety for patients, staff, and visitors in the building

Project need:

Project Need
The Standard will establish requirements for the essential operation and maintenance requirements of permanently installed equipment used to support patient care and the interfaces between building systems and equipment. As health care facilities are complex environments, it is important to establish who is responsible in planning an operation and maintenance program and who is responsible for different elements of the system
