This standard provides a methodology for characterization and traceability of the forest biomass. The following 
topic areas are expected to be included: 
 Supply inventory and availability (biomass aggregators and risk of double counting) 
 Quality grading and rating systems through characterization 

Project need:

Project Need
To support innovation in the field of forest bioeconomy by providing guidelines for the characterization and traceability of the forest biomass. This proposed New Standard is being developed at the request of The participants of the CSA workshop on forest bioeconomy. It will provide the industry with common language and a rating system for the quality evaluation of the forest biomass.
