Scope:

This standard provides a methodology for characterization and quality evaluation of the forest biofibres. The 
following topic areas are expected to be included: 
 Definitions and terminology 
 Quality grading systems 
 Properties characterization 
 Biobased products performance 

Project need:

To support innovation in the field of forest bioeconomy by providing guidelines for the characterization and quality evaluation of forest biofibres. This proposed New Standard is being developed at the request of The participants of the CSA workshop on forest bioeconomy. It will provide the industry with common language and grading systems for the quality evaluation of the forest biofibres.
