These requirements apply to cellular metal and cellular concrete floor raceways and fittings intended for installation in ordinary locations in accordance with the Rules of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I.

This Standard does not include requirements for the structural aspects nor for the effect on the fire resistance rating of the floor in which the system is installed.

These requirements do not include any features that are related only to the function of cellular metal and cellular concrete floor raceways as structural members.

These requirements do not apply to underfloor raceways covered by CSA Standard C22.2 No. 80, Underfloor Raceways and Fittings.

These requirements do not apply to raceways installed on the underside of the cellular floor that are considered wireways covered by CSA Standard C22.2 No. 26, Wireways, Auxiliary Gutters, and Associated Fittings.
