Automatic Gas Shutoff Devices For Hot Water Supply Systems
Scope:
1.1.1 This standard applies to newly produced automatic gas shutoff valves and devices constructed entirely of new, unused parts and materials.
When the term #device# is used in a provision of this standard, it refers to all types of automatic gas shutoff devices, unless otherwise specified.
1.1.2 An automatic gas shutoff device shall operate when the temperature sensing element is at 210°F (99°C) or less. A device with a higher operating temperature is not acceptable under this standard.
1.1.3 Exhibit A, Items Unique to the United States, contains provisions that are unique to the United States.
1.1.4 Exhibit B, Items Unique to Canada, contains provisions that are unique to Canada.
4.1.5 Exhibit C, List of Reference Standards, contains a list of reference standards
