This Standard applies to the safety of such equipment designed and constructed for installation and use in accordance with the Rules of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), Part I.

 

Products covered by the scope of this Standard are also subject to the requirements of CAN/CSA-C22.2

This Standard also applies to electrically powered mechanisms that are designed to provide the signals needed for monitoring valve operation from a remote location.

 

This Part 2 does not apply to electric motors, requirements for which are contained in CSA C22.2 No. 77 and CSA C22.2 No. 100.

 

This Standard also applies to electric actuators for use in commercial and industrial applications.
