Scope:

This document defines terms for identity management, and specifies core concepts of identity and identity management and their relationships.

It is applicable to any information system that processes identity information

Project need:

To align Canadian requirements with those of international standards in the Information Technology subject area and to maintain alignment with international requirements. This proposed Amendment is being developed at the request of P123 Technical Committee on Information Technology (TCIT). It will provide the industry with the latest requirements in the field of ICT, including AI and smart cities.
