Scope
  1. This international standard specifies safety requirements for, and clearance zones around, front-mounted power take-offs (PTO) on agricultural tractors. This is an adoption without modification of the identically titled ISO (International Organization for Standardization) Standard 8759-1 (third edition, 2018-11).

It is not applicable to tractors which are designed to run in two directions, where either end can be the front or the rear.
