This document specifies safety requirements for, and clearance zones around, front-mounted power take-offs (PTO) on agricultural tractors.  It is not applicable to tractors which are designed to run in two directions, where either end can be considered to be the front or the rear.

This is a direct adoption of ISO 8759-1 of the same name, without Canadian deviations. The anticipated impact of this project is to improve agricultural machinery safety for Canadian end-users, and to promote technical alignment with international standards
