1 Scope 1.1 This Standard provides requirements for aging management of concrete containment structures and their components for nuclear power plants. 1.2 This Standard provides requirements for aging management of concrete containment structures to address emerging challenges of existing structures and their components to ensure that they continue to satisfy their functional requirements during their original and extended life. Aging management requirements for new structures are also provided specifically to ensure that aging is addressed during design and construction phases. 1.3 The Standard is designed to be technology neutral.
