Scope

This Standard specifies accessibility requirements for automated banking machines (ABMs) and ABM sites.

 

Note: While the purpose of this Standard is to make ABMs or their environment more accessible, there might be some people with disabilities who have requirements beyond the scope of this Standard.

 

This Standard specifies technical requirements applicable to the design and manufacture of

(a) wall-mounted ABMs;

(b) stand-alone ABMs; and

(c) ABM sites.

This standard addresses accessibility and requirements related to meeting the functional needs of all people to the greatest extent possible by the design or adaptation, or both, of ABMs, sites, and exterior spaces. To review the Standard within the required 5 year period.
