Scope:

1.1 This standard specifies requirements for the training and certification of At-Sea Fisheries Observers. It includes the qualifications and a system for training and certification of personnel to perform the duties of At-Sea Fisheries Observers for fisheries under the jurisdiction of Canada and of Canadian At-Sea Fisheries Observers deployed to international waters.
