Scope

1.1 This method determines the resistance of textile materials containing cellulosic fibres to deterioration by the action of a cellulolytic fungus. The method is of particular importance in testing fabrics designed for outdoor use.

 

1.2 The test is of moderate severity and is not recommended for treated fabrics intended for use under conditions involving contact with soil. (See CAN/CGSB-4.2 No. 28.3-M)

 

1.3 The testing and evaluation of a product against this method may require the use of materials and/or equipment that could be hazardous.
