Scope:

 

This method assesses the colourfastness of textile materials to wetting with sea water. It is applicable to dyed, printed and otherwise coloured fibres, yarns and fabric of all kinds.

 

In the case of multicoloured materials, more than one test may be necessary to cover all colours in the pattern.
