Off Road Diesel
Scope:
1. SCOPE
1.1 This standard applies to two types of diesel fuel, Type A and Type B, that are suitable for use in off-road and stationary diesel engines.
1.2 Both types of fuel may be used in off-road1 diesel-powered equipment in services involving relatively high loads, for example, industrial equipment and heavy mobile equipment used in construction.
1.2.1 Type A is intended for use when ambient temperatures require better low-temperature properties than Type B.
1.2.2 Type B is intended for use when ambient temperatures and fuel storage conditions allow use of such fuel.
1.3 The testing and evaluation of a product against this standard may require the use of materials and/or equipment that could be hazardous. This document does not purport to address all the safety aspects associated with its use.
Anyone using this standard has the responsibility to consult the appropriate authorities and to establish appropriate health and safety practices in conjunction with any applicable regulatory requirements prior to its use.
