The purpose of this standard is to establish the requirements for dimensions, characteristics and test methods relating to rigid pipe and fittings, manufactured from PVC compounds, used in underground applications for covering wastewaters flowing by gravity. This standard applies to rigid, non-perforated, smooth interior wall, pipe and fittings with a nominal diameter equal to or under 150 mm, generally equipped with sockets for permanent solvent cement assembly or for elastic gasket seal assembly. It applies especially to the drainage piping listed below: sewage piping, branches and sanitary building drains connected to the municipal sewage system, sewage piping installed under building (private domain connections), sewage piping installed outside of buildings (private domain connections)
