Soils - Determination of Undrained Shear Strength and Sensitivity of Cohesive Soils Using a Fall Cone Penetrometer
Scope:
This standard specifies test methods used to determine the sensitivity of cohesive soils based on the undrained shear strength of soils in their undisturbed and remoulded states, as obtained using a fall cone penetrometer.
This method is only applicable to cohesive soils which are free of sand or other coarse aggregates. The tests shall only be done on homogeneous soil layers.
