SCOPE
This standard specifies the dimensional, geometric and physical properties with which the water envelope surrounding a diving board in a residential swimming pool, diving boards and out-of-water clearances shall comply to provide a safe environment for the practice of recreational diving from a diving board in a residential setting, in order to prevent cervical spinal cord injury.
PURPOSE
This standard applies to residential swimming pools with one or more diving boards.
