Scope:

The purpose of this standard is intended to establish the performance requirements for onsite resi-dential wastewater treatment technologies used to treat wastewater from isolated dwellings and to specify test methods for verifying compliance of their performance in relation to requirements es-tablished by regulatory authorities.
