This standard specifies requirements with respect to the physical, mechanical and dimensional characteristics of ductile-iron pipe intended for use in water pressure piping systems of diameters 75 mm through 1600 mm for bell and spigot-joint pipe and flanged-joint pipe, and diameters 75 mm through 600 mm for mechanical-joint pipe, as well as test methods applying to these types of duc-tile-iron pipe.
