Construction Work — Drinking Water and Sewer Lines — General Technical Specifications
Scope:
- the excavation and backfilling of trenches.
- the supply, transport, handling, and installation of drinking water, water supply, and sewer lines.
- the supply, transport, handling, and installation of all materials and parts required for the installation of sewer manholes, catch basins, valves, fire hydrants, valve chambers, drinking water service lines, and sewer service lines.
- all required connections, including connections to existing lines.
- all appurtenances required for the work outlined in the contract documents to be carried out properly.
- all tests required in this standardized specification.
- the installation of drinking water and sewer lines and required appurtenances starting at 1 m away from the outer face of the wall of any building.
- the installation of a temporary drinking water supply system for service lines affected by work, as well as the requirements related to maintaining fire protection when such a protection is specified in the particular technical specifications.
This standardized specification does not apply to the construction of retention basins with multiple lines installed in the same trench. This standardized specification does not apply to the installation of drains.
