Christmas Trees - Classification System
Scope:
Purpose
The purpose of this standard is to establish, on the basis of a set of characteristics, a commercial classification system for the different types of conifers that can be used as Christmas trees.
This standard does not cover environmental protection facilities or practices related to Christmas tree production. For information, Appendix D provides useful references on this subject.
Scope
This standard applies to all coniferous species sold as Christmas trees, whether grown in cultivated stands, improved natural stands or wild seedlings.
