SCC applauds new partnership between PASC and COPANT

The Standards Council of Canada (SCC) applauds the cooperation arrangement between the Pacific Area Standards Congress (PASC) and the Pan American Standards Commission (COPANT).

As an active member of both PASC and COPANT, SCC welcomes this milestone as a new opportunity to enhance the development of standardization in the American region and Pacific area.

After years of working together organically, this milestone in PASC and COPANT’s relationship is a big step in our collective journey to advance regional priorities at the international level of standards development,” says Chantal Guay, SCC CEO, and Chair of PASC’s Executive Committee.

Under their new cooperation arrangement, PASC and COPANT will advance the exchange of information on standardization, as well as the exchange of views and best practices. These areas are key to leveraging training, capacity building plans, strategic priorities, and finding new opportunities to collaborate.
